Magazine Poster Analysis 2/3

This is the magazine advert for Catfish And The Bottlemen which was used for promotional purposes of their Tour of England which was set to be held within October and November. The colour palette that has been used for this poster was black and white (and red for the sold out venues). I like the layout that has been used which is the masthead bold and white which makes it stand out on a black background which I really like as I believe it is very effective, eye catching and gives it a professional look. This has given me inspiration for when I will be creating my magazine poster as I believe this can give it the most effective and professional look. The band Catfish And The Bottlemen also used social media as a way of free promotion for this tour, as you can see they have provided their Twitter, Facebook and Instagram on this advert. They are obviously a popular band as this poster already shows venues that are selling out which are the two shows at the O2 Academy Brixton in London. Also, 137.2k followers on Twitter which will mean that they can get their promotion out to many followers and fans. The photograph that is featured on this poster is a very well thought and effective one. This is because it gets the fans onto a poster of theirs which shows they care about their fans and will get potential fans to positively view the band because this is a way of interacting and showing love to the fans. It also has been made into black and white which goes with the theme of the poster and gives it the professional edge.
