Magazine Poster Analysis 3/3

This is an advert from Dan Croll's performance at The Art Bar in Oxford on the 11th October. The font that has been used for this poster is nice and bold which makes it stand out to the viewers. It also is white which I feel is the best colour font to use for a professional and sharp look. When creating my own music poster I will take this into consideration because I feel this can give it the best look possible and is what I am looking to achieve for my own advert. The photo used is very central and makes Dan Croll the centre of attention as that is the first point of interest. he is dressed smart which gives him a nice edge as it shows he takes care of his appearance which will follow through to his music. He also has a twitter account which he used for free promotion for this venue when it was announced he would play there. The idea of using social media for promotion is very good i believe as it won't cost you anything but many people use these sites which will therefore mean it will be out there for people to see. The age restrictions shown could potentially lose potential viewers of his performance due to the fact that around that age is were there will be many social media users who also may be interested in seeing Dan Croll live. The vibrant colours that have been used on this poster make it stand out from other adverts which will catch the viewers eye from the off. Therefore they may spend there time reading the poster which could then maybe generate more viewers of his live performance at The Art Bar. However, I do like this poster as it is different from others I have found and of others that I have seen about. The uniqueness may also be a factor for swaying people to go and view the show.
